Overview
The Strengthening Families Initiative (SFI) is a program designed to strengthen families. Rutgers Southern Regional CCR&R works with providers throughout South Jersey to give them tools and resources to help them increase family strengths, enhance child development, and reduce the likelihood of child abuse/neglect.
There are 5 key protective factors for SFI:
- Parental resilience
- Social connections
- Knowledge of parenting and child development
- Concrete support in times of need
- Social and emotional competence of children
If you are a provider interested in becoming a member of the Strengthening Families Initiative , please contact us today.
