Beverly Ramos
Cristine Dell-Priscoli

Beverly Ramos has been with Rutgers Southern Regional CCR&R since 2015. She has been in the Early Childhood field for 38 years in different capacities such as pre-school teacher, FCC provider, center director, licensing inspector and many others. All the positions she ever held are very dear to her heart; she is committed to do her very best for children and families, but teaching adults has been the most rewarding. She connects teaching to NAEYC standards and theory because it promotes child development and learning by addressing the needs of the whole child. Beverly loves the relationships and connections she has built with providers while conducting trainings. Most rewarding is to see participants have their "aha" moments as they strive to try new strategies and share their experiences with others. Beverly’s favorite early childhood theorist is Lev Vygotsky because the scaffolding theory focuses on a student’s ability to learn information through the help of a more informed individual. Beverly states that being a trainer gives her pleasure to know that providers and teachers are gaining the knowledge needed to support individual children’s learning and overall development.

“There is in every child at every stage a new miracle of vigorous unfolding,
which constitutes a new hope and new responsibility for all” -Erik Erikson

Cristine Dell-Priscoli has been a trainer with Rutgers Southern Regional CCR&R Agency for since 2019 . She has over 20 years experience in working with children and adults as an educator. Cristine states, “I love being able to help providers make their jobs as an educator easier by giving them the knowledge they need to successfully work with children.” Cristine is also the editor of the Agency's quarterly newsletter that provides in-depth information and community/ state linkages to professional development and family/child development information that programs  are encouraged to share with their staff and families. One of Cristine’s favorite theorists is Albert Bandura, whose theory places the child at the center of the learning experience and emphasizes the importance of social learning and developing strong inner feelings of self-belief.

“The goal of early childhood education should be to activate the child’s own natural desire to learn” - Maria Montessori
