Atlantic County
Research Aide
Under the direction of the Site Manager, the Research Aide (Eligibility Program Specialist) is responsible for providing assistance to families, clients, child care providers and the general public. Appropriately administers state and federal child care subsidies, data storage and documentation procedures that meet administrative and program quality audits, and fiscal oversight. S/he will manage the daily eligibility process and subsidy related tasks from application review, eligibility determination, re-determination for continued care, data entry, and/or completion of child care arrangement in addition to processing termination of coverage. Deliver continuous case management services, making client-driven changes involving eligibility, such as a change in household income, family size, child care provider selection, employment hours, and the like. As necessary, will generate recoupments and complete related reports. The Research Aide (Eligibility Program Specialist) promotes high-quality consumer education throughout the delivery system. Provides child care referrals based on each family’s preference and each child’s individual needs, the incumbent will offer maximum choices within the constraints of stated needs and preferences. This includes providing information regarding subsidy for child care services, guidance on choosing quality child care programs and/or referring individuals and families to appropriate social service agencies. Customer service functions are performed in person, through email and via telephone.

Program Coordinator II
he Program Coordinator II serves as a Family Engagement Specialist and will provide family support services through the coordination of parent engagement events, community events and meetings, and collaborative efforts and partnerships with other staff and agencies. This position will educate and inform families on accessing desired/necessary services and positive child development outcomes using Strengthening Families strategies to support New Jersey’s early care and education system. The Program Coordinator II will provide technical assistance and comprehensive services to aid and enhance the development of childcare programs, licensed child care centers and registered Family Child Care providers serving infants and toddlers.
